for our wines: the harvest. At this crucial time of year, we set the pace for the wines to come. The search for the Michel Arnould & Fils style is a pattern that is repeated year after year.
A blank canvas appears every year, gradually filled in as the plots are harvested and the grapes pressed. This meticulous engineering work takes place in the background, allowing the Domaine to adapt to every harvest.
Pinot Noir is at the core of the House's style. Depending on the cuvée, it is enhanced by the presence of Chardonnay. The use of wood is featured in every cuvee: depending on the desired style, it is used to a greater or lesser extent. Every wine is different, and so is every winemaking technique. All these characteristics are, of course, framed by the Terroir, a factor that must be highlighted in every wine.
Our two presses help us to isolate grapes according to their location, sector and parcel. This operating method lets us increase the number of tastings of the musts, and thus be able to offer plot wines [as parcellaires] of exceptional quality.
This approach of "not every wine, not every year" demands the utmost precision in our tastings, with nothing left to chance.
Every harvest is different, and our winemaking techniques evolve with it. Whether blended or not, malolactic fermentation or not, everything is tasted and recorded in our archives.
From the moment the musts are isolated, it is essential to handle all these stages with precision.
At Champagne Michel Arnould & Fils, nothing is off limits. Every idea is worth testing, every technique worth exploring. The wine will be the concrete result of all these possibilities and resulting choices.
We invite you to meet at the domaine to share a moment of conviviality and help you discover or rediscover the range of Michel Arnould & Fils Champagnes. We invite you to announce your visit to better prepare for it.
